The Pacific Rim Property Research Journal (PRPRJ) is the official refereed journal of the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society (PRRES Inc.). The journal publishes applied property research relating to all aspects of property and invites contributions.
Scope of the Journal
PRPRJ invites contributions addressing areas including, but not limited to, the following
- Corporate real estate
- Housing markets and policy issues
- International property
- Modeling property markets
- Property and IT
- Property cycles
- Property development
- Property education
- Property investment and finance
- Property market dynamics
- Property management
- Property valuation
- Urban Environment
- Other property and built environment related topics
Each issue will attempt to reflect a diversity of property topics. The final decision on the content of specific issues will be made by the Editor. One issue per year may be devoted to a special topic, with a Guest Editor appointed. Special issue topics will be determined by the Editor and announced with sufficient lead-time.
Papers must examine applied property issues in a rigorous manner with analysis and conclusions, with the contribution to knowledge clearly stated. Descriptive papers lacking analysis and conclusions, with the contribution to knowledge not clearly stated, will not be accepted.

Peer Review Statement
All articles in this journal undergo a rigorous peer review process, based on initial editor screening and double blind review by at least two referees. These referees will submit detailed referee’s reports regarding the suitability of the paper for publication and recommended revisions, if required.
Editorial Policy
- PRPRJ publishes applied property research relating to all aspects of property.
- Papers must examine applied property issues in a rigorous manner with analysis and conclusions, with the contribution to knowledge clearly stated.
- Descriptive papers lacking analysis and conclusions, with the contribution to knowledge not clearly stated, will not be accepted.
- By submitting a paper for consideration, authors warrant that they have satisfied their University’s requirements for ethical and all other approvals.
- By submitting a paper for consideration, authors warrant that the paper is not currently under consideration by another journal.
- Previously published, externally funded research (such as RICS research reports or industry/corporate funded research reports) will only be considered for publication if rewritten in an academic style with acknowledgement of the original work and limited similarity to the original published report.
- Papers returned to authors, following referee’s comments concerning amendment, will be considered for publication if returned to the Editor within twelve months of return to the authors.
Review of Articles
Papers are assigned anonymously by the Editor to two specialist referees. These referees will submit detailed referee’s reports regarding the suitability of the paper for publication and recommended revisions, if required. To facilitate the refereeing process and communication, email is the preferred procedure for submission of papers.
