PRRES Achievement Award
Maurice Squirrell - 2000
The Pacific Rim Real Estate Society (PRRES) is proud to acknowledge Associate Professor Maurice Squirrell as the 2000 recipient of the PRRES Achievement Award.
This is the highest honour that PRRES can bestow on one of its members and is in recognition of the outstanding contribution by Maurice Squirrell to property education and research in the Pacific-Rim.
Maurice Squirrell has been a major contributor to the development of property education and research in Australia for many years through his strong leadership role at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and in PRRES. Maurice has ensured that the land economy and property discipline has developed as a highly respected discipline within the universities in Australia.
These efforts have been amply demonstrated by Maurice ensuring that the highest quality standards in property education are achieved both at RMIT and at the other Australian members offering property programs.
Maurice has ensured the linkages between property education and the property industry were strong though his property industry liaison via the Australian Property Institute and the Property Council of Australia. This has enabled considerable career opportunities for property graduates throughout Australia.
Maurice has also been a major team player, both with the property team at RMIT and within PRRES. He has always provided strong support and mentoring to numerous PRRES members as they have developed their property academic careers.
PRRES is pleased to award the PRRES Achievement Award to Associate Professor Maurice Squirrell in recognition of his many outstanding achievements in property education and research.
